Love Dream Reality : Chapter - 3
The boy was actually surprised.
He never thought of finding parents at this time. Usually, it's lunch time but not together.
"So, its distinction, yeah?" Father asked. Excited.
"Of course, it must be." Mother replied. Excited.
"Second class." Boy murmured.
"Oh!" Father said, hesitated "Second is not bad either."
"Of course not. Second is way better than no class." The mother said with the same tone but added fake consolation.
The boy knew his parents very well. Fake smiles, fake consolation and fake pride. He also knew that it's not their fault. They tried to cheer him up or maybe cheer themselves up.
In any case, the boy knew he didn't succeed the legacy of The Doctors and The Engineers.
Who cares?
Expectations are a burden. A burden forced by someone else.
He still has to make a decision. What to do? At 56.12. What, he can do?
Like Sam, he can join engineering or even medical, too.
Lunch went silent.
Some family members came later that day.
"B.Sc. with Microbiology or B.Sc. with Biotechnology is a nice option" Someone from mother's side suggested.
"B.Sc. with Information Technology is not bad either." Someone from father's side suggested.
Different people, different opinions.
Boy kept listening.
For the boy, it was easy to listen the suggestion but hard to make the decision.
Like lunch, dinner went silent.
Awkward.
After lunch, he was watching a movie about three friends who were engineers and all wanted something different from their respective life. Moral of the story was, do anything, you want.
"Even I want to do anything what I want." he thought. But is there anything which I want?
While going to sleep, he listened something and followed the voices. Which eventually led him to the door of his parent's room.
"I mean, just 56 percentage. Even my stupid cousin's son got 75 who was wandering all the year." Mother said.
"Sorry, you lost me there. Who is stupid, honey. Cousin or his son?" Father asked.
"Oh, come on. It doesn't matter who is stupid. Cousin or his son. My point was, we gave everything he wanted and his absent was almost negligible. Even your cousin's daughter got 78 who was sick all the year."
"My cousin's daughter was never sick, honey. Don't lie." Father said offended.
"I was not talking about a daughter. I was talking about the cousin." The irritated mother said. "Okay, forget it. I was just worried about him."
"What do you mean by I was just worried about him? Even I am worried about him, damn it." Father offended again.
Oh, poor papa. mother didn't mean that. Son understood.
"Oh, dear god. Save me." Mother said frustrated "I didn't mean that." and continue worriedly "I am just worried about him. He looks normal. Lives normal. He never demands anything and never complains anything. This boy needs something to live."
Boy left the conversation unfinished.
Mother is right. I need something. But right now some sleep will do.
While he was trying to sleep but some words were just keep coming in his mind.
B.Sc. I.T. B. Sc. Biotech. B. Sc. Microbiology.
Meanwhile, the unfinished conversation was still happening.
"I think our son needs a Doctor. A really good doctor." Father said adjusting the pillow, looking into his wife's eyes.
Wife, a doctor, raised her eyebrow.
"Oh. I mean some mind therapist. So, we can come to know what is missing." Father said looking somewhere else.
"Hmm." She paused, thought and said, "Maybe you are right." She offed night lamp. "And by the way there's nothing like mind therapist."
"Oh! okay."
Boy yet to find in sleep.
Do anything you want.
