Love Dream Reality : Chapter - 7
Time Flies.
Seconds after Hours after Days after Weeks.
The boy still couldn't found a way to communicate with Mannat.
He was not like a stalker or something. He just never had the courage to begin.
And then one day....
He was at the parking, waiting for Sam to come. Normally, Sam and the boy come together but something came up to sam. So, boy was told to wait there.
He saw mannat coming.
Goosebumps. Sweat. Anxiety.
She parked right after the boy's bike. Red scooter. he noticed.
Until that day, he witnessed the beauty only in class. She comes little late, leaves little early.
Actually, saying Mannat, late, would be little harsh. Maybe it was punctuation.
Anyway, boy glanced, so did Mannat.
Boy smiled. Hesitation.
So did Mannat.
And then, she gone.
Wish remained wish.
Standing there, the boy only wished something more to happen.
Never the less, there was something for the boy to be happy, to rejoice. At least they exchange looks, they exchanged smiles. Positive start.
Between the border of the excitement and nervousness, he was interrupted by Sam. Sam was trying to say something but it took few seconds to make the boy listen.
"Hey, where are you?" Sam asked the Boy.
"Right in front of you, can't you see?" Boy replied.
"Yeah, I can see. But you didn't see that I also am right in front of you."
The boy was still in the thoughts of Mannat.
Those beautiful eyes.
That mesmerizing smile.
"What are you looking at? What are you thinking? Why are you not even trying to listen? Where are you, mentally?" So much question by one and only Sam.
Boy slapped Sam. Mentally.
"Whatever." Boy controlled himself.
"Okay." Sam said. "Whatever."
"Leave it." Boy said looking into the eyes of Sam. "Do you think an eye can change your life?"
Sam, confused.
"Never happened to me." confused sam said "But I think it's not an eye. it goes like, An idea can change your life."
Boy slapped him again.
"Leave it."
"What leave it? Why are you asking something crazy meaningless stuff and ending it with leave it?" Sam demanded.
The boy couldn't answer or maybe he was not interested in answering. He said calmly "Leave it." and laughed.
"Go to hell." Angry Sam said.
Moments passed silently.
Sam was about to say something but noticed the scooter near the boy's bike was vibrating.
"Hey, see this scooter is vibrating itself. How funny!" Excited Sam said. "Oh! wait. Oh my God! It's Earthquake." Screamed Sam.
"Stop it, you weirdo." Irritated boy said. "It's not earthquake it's just scooter which is not off-ed."
"Thank god. I thought I am going to die." said Sam, relaxed. "But the point is, whose scooter is this? Who is this irresponsible creature? What a waster of natural gas!" said Sam frustrated.
The Boy knew who was that irresponsible creature, waster of natural gas.
"Relax, sam." Said the Boy as he was trying to stop the scooter from vibrating. "Somebody must have forgot to remove the key properly or may be scooter is infected by something."
"Wow, that's a nice touch. The infected scooter." Impressed Sam said.
"You wait here. I know whose scooter is this." Boy said as he started running towards the class.
"At your command, Sir." came the reply.
He was in the middle of the area of uncertainty. What if he just messed up simple thing? Trying to adjust his excitement and hide his nervousness. It will be his first impression. So he needs to be at his best. Still, he didn't knew what to call her like how to address her?
Thoughts were just flowing endlessly but his journey to the center of discomfort ended. He was in the classroom.
Searching for the beautiful eyes and wishing to have mesmerizing smile.
And there was she, at her regular sitting place.
Legs, little shaking. Lips, little trembling. Sweat, little floating.
He looked at her.
She looked at him.
Puzzled. Both.
"Yeah?" Came the voice, eyebrows up.
Blank was the response.
"You want something?" Came the same ear soothing voice.
Blank was the response, again.
"Are you real or I am talking to myself?" This time the voice was a bit sour.
"Sorry, maa'am.... umm... miss"
"Oh! you can speak! I thought you will never utter a word and keep staring me and Ma'am or Miss? Clear yourself."
The boy felt betrayed by his confidence. Moments of silence.
"Will you please stop staring randomly at my face and speak a word?" Mannat was losing her passion.
"Your.... scooter...is... still..."
"What happened to my scooter? Is it still on?" Unpassionet girl spoke.
"Yeah"
"Then why didn't you just said instead of staring and ma'am and Miss-ing me." She hurried in the direction of parking. "Oh, god! One day I am really going to throw that piece of garbage." She said more to herself than the boy.
Within few seconds they were in the parking.
She accurately placed a key in the lock. Offed it. Scooter stopped vibrating.
Sam was still there. Looking at Mannat.
"Shit! It's been more the 15 minutes. Lost so much petrol." She again said herself than anyone.
Sam and the boy stood silently, watching her.
"Anyway, thanks." She finally addressed the boy.
"Thank me, too. I was guarding this junk." Sam need appreciation for his effort.
"Stop it, Sam. It's not a junk it's a scooter." The boy interrupted.
"It's okay. If I can call it a piece of garbage so he can surely call it junk." Mannat said. "Anyway, I think we are getting late for the class."
"Yeah." The boy said.
"Shit! yeah." Sam said.
They were on the way and Mannat asked the boy.
"I didn't catch your name."
"Hi! I am Sam." Sam said.
"Hi ! Sam. But I was asking his name." Mannat said as she was looking at the boy.
Boy looked at Mannat. Looked at Sam.
And then looked somewhere else and went on.
